CCCPA Hosted A Party for Volunteers
Over the
last a few months, CCCPA is experiencing a revitalization.
Events are hosted every months. Java, Bridge, Golf and Entrepreneur
clubs are formed to serve our members.
All those
are made possible by our volunteers. To honor their contributions
for CCCPA, Derek Hu, CCCPA president hosted a party at the
beautiful house of our former president Sheldon Gu. The party
took place at Oct 13, 2002, 11:00am - 4:00pm.
About
30 members and volunteers attended the party. Derek Hu, on
behalf of CCCPA, thanks all of them the contributions over
the period, and has asked their continuing volunteerism.

CCCPA Thanks Volunteers and Calls for more help
In the
CCCPA's volunteer party, CCCPA wishes to say thanks for many
volunteers:

Stanley Zhou, for his contribution of organizing CCCPA seminars
and bridge club
2. Ben Gao, for his contribution of rebuilding CCCPA web site
3. Jin Yu, for his initiatives of organizing CCCPA golf club
4. Kevin Qian, for his initiatives of organizing CCCPA golf

5. Leon Chen, for initiatives of organizing Entrepreneur Club
6. Chum Tam, for volunteers in editing the newsletters
Right
now, CCCPA is calling for more help. CCCPA especially needs
volunteers in coordinating the following aspects of activities:
1. Develop and maintain relationship with US based companies
2. Fund Raising, donations, sponsorships
3. Develop and maintain relationships with China's business
and technology communities
4. Develop and maintain relationships with local Chinese communities

CCCPA is Organizing a Delegation to China
CCCPA
is planning to organize a delegation to anticipate The Convention
of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science & Technology (GuangZhou)
to learn the recent development in China's business and technology,
to establish collaboration between CCCPA and Chinese IT communities,
and to help members seek/expand business opportunities.
Current
coordinating committee members for the the delegation are:
Rachel Zhang, Stanley Zhou, and Pengyi Han. If you are interested
in to help organize and/or join the trips, please send an

coordination committee.
4.CCCPA
Starts Downtown Lunch Club
CCCPA
is planning to start a downtown lunch club for its members.
The lunch club will be very informal. We will designate a
day each month to have lunch together at a downtown restaurant.
Every
members are welcome to join the lunch by just showing up.
It is a chance to our members to meet each other and exchange
technology and job information.
The organizing
committee for this downtown club include: Sheldon Gu, Pengyi
Han, and Derek Hu

CCCPA to Welcome Jiang Zemin
CCCPA
is joining the welcome ceremony of Chinese President Jiang
Zemin visiting Chicago. If you, or your parents, are interested
in participation, please send an email to: cccpa_info@yahoo.com
Please
include the exact names (as appeared on the IDs) and your
contact info no later on ASAP (no later
than morning Oct 15). The ceremony is planned at O'Hare airport,
Oct 22. Tuesday. Transportation will be provided from downtown
to the Airport.
