Golden Fall Forum, 1998
Sunday,
October 18, 1998, was a remarkable and beautiful day in
the Chicago's often gloomy weather history. It is also a
day on the CCCPA calendar when the Golden Fall Forum was
held at the UIC's west campus. Close to 100 members and
other professionals/students gathered at the Forum to discuss
topics of their interest.
The
Forum had three parallel discussions on topics like the
consulting business, internet, Microsoft Certification programs,
MBA, and many career management topics. What is unique about
these discussions is that the panelists leading the discussions
were all experienced Chinese professionals who came to this
country to fulfill their dreams. They had similar background
as the audience and shared similar obstacles and difficulties.
Therefore, their successful stories were more encouraging
and more convincing.
The
CCCPA Board and the management team put significant efforts
in organizing this event. Many team members spent tremendous
amount of time behind the scene, contacting sponsors, searching
panelists, coordinating the sessions, designing brochures,
preparing member and speaker name tags, keeping track of
spending... The list goes on and on.
The
event organization team feels the need to specifically mention
the following individuals who stepped out to help the event
during the registration time. They are Chen Yang, Hua Shiyan,
Gao Yanlai, Zhou Yelu. Their help made the event go smoothly.
We
